About The Gambia
The Gambia is a small country in West Africa, among the world’s poorest and with few natural resources except its people. Of whom most are subsistence farmers, although the cities and towns are growing.
The country has an extensive public school system, and classes are taught in English. The Gambia’s education sector is expanding annually, and this poses a challenge to the government to meet the growing funding requirements to match this steady growth in terms of classrooms, learning materials and teachers. Thousands of children from poor families, and those from rural areas are at a distinct disadvantage when it comes to schooling.
We as an organization, help families and children from disadvantaged backgrounds in The Gambia. A non-government, voluntary, non-profit and humanitarian organization, whose main aim is to enhance life quality of children, youth and families.
